Trail Maintenance

Help us keep Big Bear Valley’s trails clear and in good repair by reporting trail issues and damage. Tree down? Washout? Tell us!

Winter is especially hard on our area trails, and reporting damage like downed trees helps make the most efficient use of USFS and volunteer trail maintenance resources who can spend more time fixing and less time looking. Reports we receive are forwarded to Forest Service personnel who then prioritize and coordinate trail maintenance.

If you have been assigned a particular trail for a maintenance survey by the Foundation, please use the Trail Maintenance Report (70k in PDF format requiring the free Adobe Acrobat Reader). Or you can leave a comment below, and be sure to include: Trail Name, Description of Damage, and Distance from Trail Head. Thanks!
