Big Bear Lake has been selected as the race’s Stage 6 Finish on Friday, May 18, 2012. The City of Palmdale will serve as the Host City and start location for Stage 6, which ultimately finishes with a demanding climb to Big Bear. On Saturday, May 1, over 40 local Big Bear cyclists braved 40 degree weather to participate in the first Community Bike Ride. Riders ranged from 7 to 74 years old and enjoyed a slow and easy course along the Eagle Point bicycle route in the City of Big Bear Lake. Even the City’s Mayor, Liz Harris, joined in the fun.
